Message From The CEO

I am pleased to welcome you to our Photonic Products Group website. This site represents our ongoing commitment to communicate newsworthy information about the Company and its businesses.

Via our name change in September 2003, we signaled that we are transforming the Company into a portfolio of businesses whose branded products conform to our paradigm:

Products Enabling Photonics TM

We are focused on implementing our vision of expanding the Company's operations, capabilities, and product lines on an ongoing basis. We aim to diversify to serve more niches within the many-sectored Photonics industry with products based upon critical component technologies.

INRAD, founded in 1973, was our first business, and legacy brand. Today INRAD specializes in crystal-based optical components and devices, and laser system accessories and instruments. Please visit the INRAD website via the link provided to learn about its products.

Laser Optics became our second business in November of 2003. It was created through the acquisition of the former Laser Optics, Inc., which was founded in 1967, and our merger of its product lines and operations with the customs optics and optical coating services product lines of the former INRAD. Laser Optics specializes in precision custom optical components, assemblies, and optical coatings. Please visit the Laser Optics website through the link provided.

MRC Precision Optics is our newest business, acquired in October of 2004. Founded in 1983, MRC specializes in precision diamond turned optics, metal optics, and aspheric optics, as well as opto-mechanical and electro-optical assemblies.

We take our cues from our customers, present and future, and their evolving needs. To better serve them, we anticipate adding and integrating businesses, products, and technologies to our family of companies in the months and years ahead.
